“Where to start…. As soon as we viewed Ashton Lodge back in April 2021, we walked into the house and knew straight away it was where we wanted to have our dream wedding. Every time we went to visit for opens days etc: all the staff remembered us and they made us feel really welcome. All of the staff are incredible, all our guests said how nice all the staff were and how smoothly everything ran on the day and that was all down to Claire. Food was incredible.
The day went effortlessly and the whole running of the day was amazing!!
We could not of asked for anything more from this venue. There is not enough stars for the rating we wanted to give

“Amazing Wedding Venue!”
“We decided to go with Ashton Lodge as our wedding venue, and we’re so glad we did! We made our booking after attending several open days. The venue itself is gorgeous, a very stylish backdrop for a wedding with lots of indoor space and outdoor gardens to spread out in across the day, especially on a sunny June afternoon. The exclusive use really helps to keep the day intimate.
After making our booking we were able to keep in touch constantly, with Claire & the planning team emailing to answer any little queries we had. We were invited to several planning meetings to go through things together and shape our ideas – even when the bride had to attend via video call, they were incredibly helpful to make sure she remained included and up to speed. The team were also very accommodating to our ideas – we included flower dudes, bubble blowing and axe throwing entertainment for our guests, which went down a treat . We were further invited to a food tasting evening to help us get an idea of what we wanted to serve on the day, which was a lovely extra touch.
On the day itself everything ran smoothly, it was perfect! We were able to drop in the day before to help set up a few decorations, which saved a lot of stress on the day itself. The bride and her bridesmaids were able to get ready from 9am in the dressing room. Claire and the wedding team were on hand throughout to help with set-up and arrivals, helped to direct our guests and get them comfortable. We had around seventy guests on the day which Ashton lodge suited perfectly, the ceremony room was full but not overcrowded, and the marque similarly felt full but still had plenty of space for our guests to move around in during the wedding breakfast. The onsite accommodation was incredibly useful, each of the rooms was well-furnished and comfortable, and allowed some of our guests to rest through the day when they needed to…”

Myself and Michael got engaged In November and wanted to find a venue for a strict time period when Michael’s brother was over from Australia in 6 months time. Luckily we came across Ashton Lodge and noticed they used the same catering as my sister two years previous. The food at my sister’s wedding was stunning, and we knew having such a short amount of time to plan we could trust them. We fell in love with ceremony room and marque straight away (it was dark so hadn’t yet seen how lovely the grounds were) also the room where we got ready was just so special and I loved we could all get ready together there. Sarah was very helpful throughout the whole process always there to answer any questions we had big or small.
When it came to the day, I felt so at home at Ashton Lodge and we could decorate everything how we wanted and added our own special touches. Everyone commented on how lovely the venue was, and how wonderful the food was. Natalie was brilliant, calm but also completely ‘on it’ just the right combination to make sure the day ran well but kept us chilled and happy. The head of the bar (I’m so sorry I can’t remember her name) was excellent too. Everything was taken care off.
We loved our wedding at Ashton Lodge and would fully recommend this venue and their team to any couples looking.

Ashton Lodge is a quintessential English Edwardian house in the the most idyllic setting, something a little different. It has class but remains warm and friendly.
The day couldn’t have run more smoothly from moment we arrived until we all left the next morning thoroughly refreshed from a very relaxed sleep in a superb room and well fed with a traditional English breakfast.
The staff were discreetly ensuring all the bride and grooms wishes were carried out to perfection and were both professional and friendly too.

All the staff went out of their way to ensure that everything was perfect, even mowing the lawns on the morning of the wedding ensuring the grounds were immaculate. The marquee looked fabulous and the size of the venue was just perfect for hosting all their family and friends. The canapes and wedding breakfast were beautifully presented and were enjoyed by all. The overnight accommodation was excellent and guests appreciated the cooked breakfast the following morning. A special mention to Mel who was very welcoming and did a wonderful job of ensuring that everything ran so smoothly so all the guests had a very happy and memorable day.
